Hi!
I have finished reading Trinity Blood Vol. 5. I am thinking of posting a review of the manga.

okay
I have just recently check a blog of mine that I posted at tokyopop.com. The link is still there but not the blog. The blog was at the time a by-weekly post about to become a weekly post. If you check out the following link(s) you will not find anything there.
What's the Scoop? 8/2/07
I have been told there is more on my tokyopop.com profile. The funny thing is I can still post those blogs. I have saved them on a word document. As a matter of fact I think I will post it here. After you read this please tell me what needed to be censored???
Hey there Tokyopop community. It is time for the latest edition ‘What’s the Scoop?’ and have I found some scoops for you. Scanning through some of my favorites, I have included news from ANN, Tokyopop, ADV and much more. Being on vacation for the week of 7/23/2007, I found some new sites! So we have a jammed packed ‘Scoop’ for this edition. In a comment from our Round-Up expert ChunHyang72 in the last issue of ‘What’s the Scoop?’ Here is what she shared with me.
BTW. Publisher’s Weekly just ran an article about ICE Kunion. Their titles were acquired by Yen Press, and will begin appearing under Yen Label in May 2008.
Also sharing a comment is TheMischievousFox.
Hey there, thanks for the feed back about the site and also for the page full of very useful links! And thanks for sticking with us while we try to get everything working nicely for you guys!
I want to thank TheMischievousFox and all the Tokyopop techs for trying to get all the bugs worked out for us as we use the site live. It must be very hard and I just wanted to show my appreciation for all there hard work. Hopefully soon we will have RRS feeds and our past links will be working. And pesky time out and re-logging problems fix for smoother running of the site, please.
Anyone who was dismayed by their age, you no longer have to be dismayed. The problem has been fixed and our ages should be our actual ages. Thanks TheMischievousFox and Tokyopop.

I found a neat scoop where Japanese Volunteers Transcribe Manga For Blind People. Not only are the can they put the text in braille but they also copy the pictures in the manga with the raised dots. Some of the first manga to be translated into braille will be Chibi Maruko-chan, Only Yesterday, Craynon Shin-chan, Sazae-san and Hayao Miyazaki’s The Journey of Shuna. “According to the club’s 82 -year-old representative Koji Sangawa, ‘the visually impaired don’t have many opprotunities to experience art, so they enjoy our work. I want to continue working as long as my body allows me, with the encouragement of their words of gratitude.
Bandi Visual Starts English Version of Dot-Anime Site. Bandai Visual USA launched the North American version of the dot-anime website for fans. The original Japanes version allows fans to download 400 different titles, as well as purchase anime DVDs and Cds from several distributors; the English version sells Bandai Visual Ussa and Broccoli DVDs, books and merchandise for now. Bandai Visual expects to add multimedia content this fall. Tokyopop relaunched its community site this month, whil Funimation’s parent Navarre is promising to relaunch its animeOnline site after closing it on July 20.

Yaoisuki gives us the scoop on Non-yaoi for yaoi fans. The tile is Mousou Shoujo Otaukei. There are links to the different blogs but be warned it may only be for adults (18+) viewing. I could not check this out on Yaoisuki’s site since I am not a member.
Tollie01 brings us some new reviews Tenchi Universe, Samurai Gun, Slayers Try and Slayers Next among others for this month. Tolli01 also posted a blog that should have links to all of his Reviews. I say should have the link but they have disappeared. The only link left if for Tenchi Universe. I know the links were there because I had left a comment on the blog as did Sixxx. Tollie had worked 16 hours on that blog. I know that he was going to alert Tokyopop. Tollie01’s reviews can help you save your money if and anime is a real dog. Remember to look at the comments too. Some may like a titles that didn’t go over well for Tollie01. I just got an update to Tollie01’s link problem:
Review blog (beta)
No they didn't go lost. Because of the rampant bug infestation that plagued me this was as far as i got before i got stuck. It took them a wh ile but they finally managed to fix my problems (took them just 3 weeks). I'm currently in the process of adding the rest but as i have to ad d over 250 reviews this will take some time. I will try to have it complete in about 2 weeks.
Tenkal has created a free email manga magazine. He give us a short list of chapters that he has on some very popular titles. There are even those that have not been translated to English. Yet. You do have to sign up for the email.
Don’t forget to check out the What's the Scoop? clan. Join the clan and share the ‘Scoops’ with the Tokyopop Community. This way the ‘Scoop’ can put out new hourly, daily or weekly. We in the clan are looking for people who know the good gaming sites (online and game boxes) and the great music coming out of Japan, Korea and China. Just remember to give warnings of possible adult links and if possible do not create a link to the news sites. If someone wants to check out the link they can PM the individual and ask them to send them the web address.
Another news worthy clan is Manga Recon with clan lord ChunHyang72. Again this is a for those who have news about sales, releases, new licensing and the like. The biggest rule I see there is no griping about teachers, parents, coaches, BFFS, former BFFs, or politicians or gushing about your favorite anime hotties. ChunHyang72’s newest Tokyopop Round-Up 7/30/07 jammed packed with so much news that I cannot even list all of it here. I suggest that you take some time to read the Round-Up. I will mention one part she gives about a problem on TP:
On the TP 2.0 front, hentai is becoming a problem. Click on the “Hot” button, and alongside blog entries, polls, and online manga, you’ll find some inappropriate pictures. (I’d say “hot stuff,” but… well…) I’m not the only one who finds this trend unpleasant; Mack has posted her two cents on the subject of adult material as well as some concrete suggestions for combating the problem.
(Note: The blog mention with my two cents has been deleted. I do not think I should be up for the younger members to click on the links and find something that has not been removed yet.)
I have also found some very disturbing art, avatars and photos. You don’t have to be part of the Flagging Brigade clan to flag the hentai or explicit avatars and art. And don’t forget the disturbing stuff either. There was one such ‘piece of art’ that really got me angry. I happen to struggle with depression and when I saw that ‘art’ I knew that I wanted it gone and not relabeled. Please remember that I may not be the only one who struggles with this handicap and disturbing images may give someone else the wrong idea. I ask, no plead; please do not post disturbing images on Tokyopop. We want to have a fun and safe web community.
TheMischievousFox worked Otakon for Tokyopop. She shared some of what she saw in her blog Otakon 2007 Actual Write-Up. It sounds like she had a fun time even with working. I have just made it my lot in life to got to Otakon first. After all it is really close to Philly. Checkout the poll on What do you think of TP 2.0.
Andre gives a great review of a few anime in his blog Recent Anime Viewings - Giant Robo, Tsubasa and more! As I truly love Giant Robo and was thrilled when it was released on DVD, Andre goes into the licensing of the DVD release. It is a great read.
LostPhrack gives a good deal of information in Misc. - 7/25/07. From ANN to SciFi’s new Monday night Ani-Monday. It is jammed pack with news that I cannot share it all here. Another blog tells us about a new anime, Mushishi At Gaia. LostPhrack just laments about not having a high speed connection.
Cirrus shares her experiences at Otakon!! It sounds like a great time and now I am envious. This will be my very first Con for sure.
Not being much of a Harry Potter Fan NearlyMello shares her experience standing in line for the Midnight release of the much touted last book in the series. Check out her blog on LOLZ Harry Potter and Aranzi Aranzo and you will find out what her friends has to say about this outing.
SimSide gives a review of Death Note 9. She tells us why this series is starting to sour for her. She does give some glowing insights and scathing intel about this volume of Death Note.
Onnistry shares a play list with may of the J-pop. So please that a look at No Borders No Race: Episode 44. Check out the download link to see what the Podcast contains.
ShinigamiIllusion gives us the scoop on a new trend in printing mangas. The blog Ominiubus's Explained! 12.95 For Three Volumes :O which explains all and gives the titles that are going to be coming out in this format.
Sixxx has noticed that the Leave Feedback button is gone. But she writes a blog that gives Clan Feedback and what is needed for Clan Lords to be able to unlink user-linked content. This is to keep the clan up to the standards that each clan lord has set for their clan. This blog is well worth the look at if not commented on. If you have any other feedback on your clan, I encourage you to leave comment or write a blog about your problems.
Oh, if you have a clan and want better interaction with the clanmates, try doing something fun. Sixxx gives out some instructions for the TB Sugar Craze clan to do and kikicupkake started a game of tag on the Kenshin Group clan which is now going on in the P.o.T. clan now and in the Big Misunderstanding the clan lord is asking clanmates for any stories that became a big misunderstanding that are funny. So try to stay hooked up with your clans. It will be a great way to make new friends.
Tokyopop sends us the lineup for the programs they are featuring on TOKYOPOP TV on MySpace! The programs run from Monday to Thursday. I Luv Halloween, Riding Shotgun, A Midnight Opera and Bizenghast are the shows. I am interested to see A Midnight Opera. Check out the line up and see what you may want to view.
On the ADV website they have an interview with Vic Mignogna. It is about the character he will voice on Air TV. He is looking forward to the role of the lead character. He also talks about some of the other projects that he will be working on with ADV.

Ok so I kind of lied earlier about the first Con I would attend. I just found a Philadelphia Convention that will be held in November. I just volunteered to help at the Tandokucon 2007. It is good because public transportation will be the best way to get down there. I live very close to a Regional Rail station. Though the this will be the first Con I attend but I am still ‘shooting’ for Otakon. One of the voice actors being featured at Tondokucon 2007 will be Vic Mignogna. He accepted the invitation even before he won the Best Voice Actor Award. Check out the site, especially if you live anywhere in the Philly area. You even get a small history lesson on Philly.

Keep an eye out!
I am going to be trying to sell some of my anime and manga on eBay. Not sure when I will have everything ready. I will be posting a blog for when the auction begins. I will take the blog down out when the auction is over. So keep your eye out for that blog. I also want to thank ChunHyang72 for help with the eBay experience. She answered some of my questions.

Around Tokyopop

A very good friend of mine like to make funny things on Jib Jab staring her friends.
Case in point is the one she just send me. To find out who I am, see the girl with the freckles, glasses and the body that is a bit dark.

Did not get a very good nights sleep. My air mattress was not inflated enough. Someone snored in the room and then came the early wake up call. A rude awaken came when breakfast was started and people were talking. Due to the kitchen area it sounded really loud. I tried to sleep until 6 but it was not working. So I finally go up when it was announced that breakfast was ready.
Breakfast was bacon, eggs and toast. We had coffee and orange juice to choose from to drink. I had both. I was so happy to find some caramel in the refrigerator for my coffee. We all said grace for our own meals as we got to the table.
After breakfast, I took a quick shower and got ready for morning devotion. Big Dave wants someone to lead devotions everyday. I do not remember the gentleman’s name (his name is Rich) but we started with taking prayer requests. Then he shared form the word, Matthew 16 about the red sky. It was something relevant to why we are down here this week.
Most of us went to Randy’s service. Poor Dean was bitten by the fire ants before service. It was held in the former dance studio. The message was about why we are here. Readings were from Jeremiah 9. He did go over other verses in the New Testament that reveals why we are here. It was a very good teaching. I especially liked the reference to the fiery furnace.
After the service we got to see the new dance studio. And meet some of those who attend the church. We even got to see Greg today. He had been at his house and then came up to a certain point and the guys met him. He was on duty today.
After that we went over to the new site with the rest of the crew. They got to walk around and get an idea what will need to be done. I took some pictures around the outside. But we had to dodge the fire ant nests. Then I went in and took a few photos in there. Then we split up. Some came back and some of us drove through the ninth ward on the south side.
The devastation can still be seen in this area. It is very moving. I was in the van Paul was driving. He was giving us some insight to how this area looked just after the levy brook. There was some rebuilding but a lot more was left. There are properties that have nothing on it. After that some of the others wanted to go get a that funny named dessert found in the French Quarters.
They found the place and there were boys playing their horns and a drum. I took some video for them playing. I then went a few stores down that sold Sally’s Original Cajun Pralines. I bought one only. I am glad that I only got that one. I can find those addicting. We walked back to the vans via the river walk way. That is were Maddie found her “new man” and had her photo taken with “him”. (I sent the photo to Beverly tonight).
We went back to CCNO so we could meet the others for dinner. We went to the Outback Steakhouse. We were split into two groups. One group was seated in one part of the restaurant and the other group was on a porch area. I was with Big Dave’s group. I sat down by Big Dave, Dean and Paul. I got to hear many stories about their younger days after being saved. They found out that I like football and that my team is the Steelers.
Dave shared this, Jesus was nailed to the cross and he was nailed to the cross, Jesus was on the ground and he was on the ground, Jesus was laid in the tomb and he was laid in the tomb and Jesus raised from the dead and he has eternal life. He lives by Romans 6.
We returned back to CCNO and downloaded photos from Amy’s card and mine. I have taken some video while we were taking a driving tour of the area.
Dave had a quick meeting for us tonight. The guys are going to the new church early to put in some insulation. He said that the ladies can come over later. Tomorrow it is to rain all day long. So they want to get over there early and get the insulation done quickly.
I check my email, not much but junk and an email from Jeanette. I then checked a site I belong to and checked a blog that I had posted on Friday. I had put in my blog a reference to Revelation 13: 16-18 due to something I had seen. I had gotten a strange response to this part of my blog. I asked Steve if he had ever heard of the number 616? The man form the site had said that the number of 666 was a typo and the number is to read 616. We ended up looking up the verse on the Blue Letter Bible and copied and pasted it to the blog as a comment.
I then started my journaling. As I was journaling Dave came out of the sanctuary where the men are sleeping. He said that there was not use going to bed right now. He said Jack (our fearless cook) had just started to snore again. I continued to journal and they were all talking about their BC days. I would stop to listen to stories and then continue to journal. They also told stories about the last time they were down here. Those were interesting to hear.
Tomorrow is the first work day. Dave again stressed to those of us out here (Dean, Dot, Cheryl, Timmy and myself) that he would like to have the guys go out to the church first and then the ladies can come when they feel up to it. Dave said that is not like he thinks the ladies can’t do anything but they want to get some of the harder stuff done before the ladies go over.
Well it is now about 10:25 pm and almost everyone (except myself) had turned in. I am praying now that I will not itch tonight. I got bit by mosquitoes after the church service. And I am sure that my bed is inflated properly tonight.
I leave you tonight with a much needed sigh. I think I am getting use to this hours difference. And I am feeling more comfortable now that a plan has been decided upon.
Good Night.
In His boundless love.
RoseAnn.

Do you like fiction? Do you like reading them?
I like to read fiction! I also like to have people give me advise on how to correct that fiction or make it sound more professional.
Mind you I am not a professional. I like to write for fun! And I love to use people I know in my fictions.

Hey everyone,
What a great evening after a rather stressful day at work.
I went to church tonight. Our pastor was back from a trip to a pastor's conference over in Germany. He was there from Monday to Monday.
He told us that he had a great time but always wants to come back home and "home to church". (Now when I talk about church, I am actually talking about the body of Christ. Those who are born again are the Church or Bride of Christ.)
Tonight we were in Numbers 15:37, 16 and 17:3.
If you are interested in listening you can check our church website.
Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia
The link will take you to the current teachings of Pastor Joe Focht. When there you will find teachings for Sunday Morning, Sunday Evening and Wednesday Night. You can either download or listen in streaming audio. If you are an iPod person, you can download it from there for free. It may be easier to look for the series by Joe's name. I am just sorry you cannot hear the wonderful worship music we sang prior to the teaching and the ending worship song.
At church I work the Power Point that we put up on the wall. This has the verses of the worship songs. Pastor Joe does not feel that the words of the Bible should be show up on the walls. That is what the Bible is for and you are encouraged to bring it with you. As Pastor Joe says, "Don't believe everything I tell you. Prove yourself able ministers and be Berians. Search the Scripture for yourself."

The day started off very early, 3:30 am. Amy had gotten up 15 minutes earlier than I did. With showers done, I needed something to drink to take my first regiment of medication. I had spent the night over at Amy and Jody’s to catch a ride to the airport with Amy. I was switching some bags around for carry-on while we waited for Mary to arrive. With the help of Jody, we got the car packed and Mary called to make sure she was in the right place. I had answered the phone since I was in the apartment. Jody came in and I told her that Mary was in the complex but did not see any lights on. Jody gave Mary directions to the apartment. I was almost finished with switching my bags when Mary arrived. After Mary arrived we put her luggage in the trunk and we set off for the airport.
The drive to the airport was uneventful. We arrived at the airport at about 5:15 am and went to check in at the luggage counter. They took our ID’s and boarding passes. After our luggage was checked, we say Dave coming towards the door. Amy when to tell him that we were going upstairs. We went upstairs and met Frank M who was already there. Some of us had to use the ladies room. And Frank went down to see what Dave wanted to do. He came back up and told us that we were to go through security.
Can I tell you that it has been a long time since I have flown anywhere! I had all sorts of problems. First I had to take the lap top out of its case. I did remember to take off my shoes and jewelry. But I forgot that I was wearing my belt. I had to take that off and go through the metal detector again. Then I had to pick up all of my stuff and try to get it back in order before hiking to the terminal.
When we got to the terminal, Paul and Tom were already waiting on the everyone to arrive. We asked if they were the only ones that had arrived. They told us that Maddie and Steve were there but wander down the terminal looking for food or something. Amy, Mary and I asked if they could watch the carry-on luggage. They said yes and we went to look for something to eat.
Amy know of a place at the end of the terminal that served decent food. We each got what we wanted and returned to the place where we were to catch the plane. As we were eating our breakfast, the others started to arrive. And once they arrived it did not take long for us to board the flight. We took off right on time.
There was some turbulence as we flew to or next destination, Nashville TN. Our connecting flight was at 8:45 am and we landed at 8:45 am. There we would have an hours wait. Remember there is a time change and most of us were on Eastern Standard Time. A few of us went to the little shops to buy things like shirts or drinks for the next leg of our journey. Tim had to go out for a cigarette. Well, an hour went quickly and we were ready to board. That is when the Gate worker asked about some luggage. It was Tim’s. Well we were all worried that he would miss the plane. One of the guys held back with Tim’s luggage and they were some of the last to board.
We left a little after our departure time. We were to arrive in New Orleans, our next destination, in about an hour 20 minutes. I was wondering if I should put my earplanes in my ears, since this flight was short. That is usually when my ears have a problem with pressure. I had not problem until after I got off the plane.
We got the rental vans and headed for Calvary Chapel of New Orleans. I was in the car Maddie drove. She was a little slow since she is use to driving a stick. Well before we got to the church, we were in a turning lane behind the Suburban. This is the van that Tim was riding in. We were at a light and we all saw Tim hope out of the Suburban and run to the other side of the street. There a man was trying to push his van into a gas station parking lot. Tim helped the man, dashed back to the Suburban all before the light turned green.
We got to Calvary Chapel of New Orleans. We went up to the church and put our luggage in the sanctuary. We would have to move it when they got ready to vacuum that area. After we got everything moved for the vacuuming. Then Dave ask the Dave that drove down if there was anything that some of us could do at the church to help. Then he asked who wanted to go with him to see the church we were to work on. Since I have not been down here before I decided to go and look and see what needs to be done.
Dave, Dean, Dot, Cheryl and I all went. Cheryl and I went with the pastor of Calvary Chapel of St. Bernard. We got to see the place that will be used as a drug rehab and discipleship center by another ministry. The back of the building is were the new church will be located. They had had other volunteers to help out put in the electric and some dry wall. Dave and Dean with the pastor (Randy) were making plans and making a list of what will be needed.
That is when the owner of the property arrived. Dave and the guys talked to him about some of the equipment we can use. He was a very agreeable man. Inside Cheryl and I tried to catch a little gecko. Cheryl finally caught the cute little thing. She let it go in the field next to the church. Then we walked down the drive to look at the property. In the front we met a man of Spanish and New Orleans origin. He was looking for the owner. The owner had asked the man to check a back hoe for him.
We talked to him and he told us his background. He went to church until he was 19 and then stopped going for a while. Now he goes to different churches. He mentioned that he was depressed and Dot told him to read the Bible and accepting Jesus. That is when he said that he had to find the owner. I think he said his name is Manuel.
Then we went to Greg’s house but he was not there. Then we went up the dance studio to see his wife. She was not there. Then as we were getting ready to leave, Randy showed up. Cheryl asked about her purse. She then promised to go say hello to his wife. We pulled up further in the drive and let Cheryl and Dot out to visit. Dave asked them to make it quick.
About 30 minutes later we were on our way back to the church. Cheryl and Dave decided to go back the way they remembered from the last time they used to get to St. Bernard Parish. The bridge they used was closed for repairs. We went to another bridge and crossed over into the ninth ward. The houses were still in bad shape. It was very sobering. I felt like crying when I saw some of the houses along the road.
We got back to CCNO and decided to go to dinner. We had our first meal at the Voodoo BBQ & Grill. The food there was absolutely delicious. Tim of course tried to get more pulled pork for free. Every time a server came around he would try to finagle no free refill of the pork. It would not work. After we were finished eating I took some photos of those of us at the tables we were using. I also took a photo of the sign.
We returned to CCNO and some went to the dollar store and others went to Lowes. Some of us opted to stay. Some of the guys took their showers already. I sat down to write my journal. Those who went to the dollar store got some ice cream. It was a nice dessert.
It is now 9:27 pm EST. Here in New Orleans it is 8:27 pm. My lap top did not change time. I am feeling very tired.
